Using APS drivers

I got this one from a newsgroup (posted by art@live.nl):

1. Download this http://www.emu.com/apsdrivers/eav11d.zip (3 MB)
2. Download this http://www.emu.com/apsdrivers/eav11a.zip (13 MB)
3. Install the drivers from eav11d.zip and say you want to downgrade if it
asks you.
4. You'll still have the SB Live drivers installed so run the driver program
again and when it asks you if you want to install the APS drivers don't
touch anything and go into system properties under control panel.
5. Select multimedia and you should see Creative SB Live! double click SB
Live!
6. (Sorry I have win 98 so if it's different for win 95 figure it out for
yourself :) ) Click the driver tab at the top of the screen and choose
update driver. Choose the one that says Display a list of all
drivers...yadda yadda and hit next. It should say Creative SB Live!
(11-12-1998) if you have newest WebNov drivers installed. Click on Show all
hardware, under manufacturers choose E-mu Systems, Inc., and then click E-mu
APS EMU10K1 Audio Processor and hit next and continue through the next
screens until it asks you for the cd. In the path type c:\windows\temp or
where-ever your temp directory (because it copys all it's temp files into
there when installshield for the drivers started in step 4)is and it should
find the correct files. It'll ask you to restart your computer, hit no and
then cancel the APS drivers install.
7. Install the eav11a.zip programs too for that funky aps mixer and
soundfonts.
8. Reboot and you should have all the good stuff!

...and a correction appeared just after (posted by highlander@mts.net ):

whoops slight correction in step 4. Click yes when it asks if you want to
install. When it asks you to downgrade then go to step 5.
